Interview Information

We reached out to several people via email at the Central PA Food Bank to get interviews. We heard back from 2 of them but they were not able to schedule interviews before this due date. We have been in contact with them to send them information about our project and the questions we could ask to better prepare them and so they can have the right people get in contact with us. We have heard back from the people we reached out to for the Expert interview and will be working on scheduling those. Dacey went on a tour and then was in contact via email with Kir and sent her the interview questions to answer.

Interview Scheduling

Good Evening Central PA Food Bank.

My name is Penelope Williams and I am a student who attends Millersville University, studying Interactive and Graphic Design. For my Design for Social Equity class, my group mates and I are researching non-profit organizations and in doing so, we are working to learn more about Central PA Food Bank. For this project, we are instructed to interview some staff and volunteers, about 5-8 individuals, in regards to clarifying some questions to help strengthen and understand the values of Central PA Food Bank along with the issues that may be faced daily and how these challenges will be overcome. We would like to do a Zoom/Teams call with these individuals and would like to know how we can go about scheduling this. I hope to hear back soon and enjoy your night.

Sincerely,

Penelope Williams

Email to Ellen Min (Expert Interview)

Good evening,

My name is Isaiah Sullivan, and I am a Junior studying Interactive and Graphic Design at Millersville University. For my Design for Social Equity class, my group and I are conducting research on nonprofit organizations, and we’ve chosen to focus on the Central PA Food Bank.

As part of our project, we would like to interview 5-8 staff members and volunteers to gain insight into the values, challenges, and strategies that drive the organization’s mission. These interviews will help us better understand the impactful work of the Central PA Food Bank and how it addresses daily challenges to support the community.

Would it be possible to schedule a Zoom or Teams call with these individuals? If so, we would greatly appreciate any guidance on how to arrange these interviews.

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,

Isaiah Sullivan

Good evening Central PA Food Bank.

For my Design for Social Equity class, my group mates and I are researching non-profit organizations, and in doing so, we are working to learn more about Central PA Food Bank. For this project, we are instructed to interview some individuals who are considered experts within their organization about their stories of how they got to where they are today, along with the issues that may be faced daily and how these challenges plan to be overcome. My group and I were hoping to schedule a Zoom or Teams meeting to meet you and better understand your organization. Another one of my group members, Isaiah Sullivan, has reached out to Ellen Min to also speak with her so we can understand the different angles of your organization. I hope to hear back soon and enjoy your night.

Sincerely,

Penelope Williams
